SVDM SHOWCASED AT CHEFS WHO SHARE GALA EVENT
Earlier this month Schalk was approach to get involved with Chefs Who Share.
Chefs Who Share is an annual, black-tie, charity gala featuring 14 chefs, 7 sommeliers and an auction with a focus on art. On the night donated artworks from the artists gets auctioned for charity. The event attacts some of the top art collectors and artists from around South Africa. "To be included in such elite company as Lionel and Anton Smit, Jimmy Law and David Kuijers, to mention a few, is such an honour. Knowing that my art can make a small or profound difference in someone's life is truly humbling," says Schalk.
Schalk's bold and provocative artwork, "Brutus", has been included in the very prestigious gala event taking place on 10 September 2015.
